Unrecognised micronation. Hmmmm.

After like three tries of having a quick post, I hope I can finally do one that is quick. I don’t really wanna say too much about this, so I don’t wanna save it for later, but I also do wanna talk about this, so… Here we are. I was on holiday, it was April 2026 and I couldn’t sleep. I was passing time by chatting to an LLM and suddenly I thought, how about that place in Croatia, where they declared a state. For some reason, when I read the story, I didn’t realize that it was indeed Liberland a project that I knew about for a very long time. But this is not about Liberland. This is about the Principality of Sealand!

Honestly, I can’t be bothered doing much research on it, but it seems to me that it was one of the places that hosted pirate radio, back in the day. Did you ever see The Boat That Rocked? Yeah, that pirate radio! When they are not busy stiffening their upper lip, the British can be cool. Anyway, there’s a lot to say about this place, but I’m only interested in some things. For example, following the tradition of piracy, The Pirate Bay (which I will not link to) attempted to buy the place, because it was getting hotter and hotter in Sweden. Now, I have heard about Liberland a long time ago, I just didn’t remember properly. I don’t think I ever heard about this. Man, what is going on? On one hand, it is cool, and on the other, it is sheer insanity!
